Madras Medai

Madras medai is the first ever tamil, Indie music festival organised in Chennai which provides a space for independent musicians to put forth their art to the world. Art being a powerful medium to exchange ideas and evolve as a society, this is a revolutionary move to gather all of the artists on one stage, irrespective of the genre of music they are into. The importance of the event lies on the interaction created between the people and the artists, allowing them to reach out to each other.

Being a part of an event with such phenomenal power was an essential experience to us, as a group of artists ourselves. The event being based in chennai, we began with our initial sketches that lets people connect to the warmth of the place. Humans, animals, beaches, architecture and autos were talked about and this helped us build the central mood of the design. Our focus was on reflecting Chennai as beautiful as it is with simple strokes and happy colours. We felt nice being able to add to the enormous energy the event already possessed.
